Mortgage Brain 6.7 is the latest version of their popular software which is a mortgage sourcing system; you are able to get the software either on compact disc or as a download from their website.

Mortgage Brain 6.7 will build upon their Premier Edition of Mortgage Brain, as with most of their software it will come with a 30-day free trial.

All the features that you were used to from the old version of Mortgage Brain are in 6.7, but this newer version has been designed to be user friendly.

You are able to navigate the software easier making compliance workflow processes a dream; the e-mail functionality has also been enhanced.

Home Buyer Systems (HBS) has now launched a new guide which has been put in place to help brokers do business on a fee basis. HBS believe that this new guide should be able to help brokers keep their business profitable; this is made possible by selling direct-to-lender products. This new mortgage guide comes packaged with a free trail of the HBSlite system, this tool allows brokers to source both intermediary and direct mortgage products, making life easier for them as well offering buyers a better choice.

This new package will help brokers get the most from the HBSlite system; this is done by demonstrating the value of receiving professional advice on mortgages, this kind of advice is very important to the broker, and allows them to pass this advice back to the borrower. HBS has said that this new guide will help the brokers understand the various submission routes to retail clients for the sale of ancillary products.

The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) has commented that they believe that dual-pricing is starting to disappear. However this is something that Richard Angliss, managing director of HBS does not agree with, he said “There are a lot of conflicting ideas about dual pricing, and we hope our new guide will help to make things clearer for brokers.” He also added “First, we believe that dual pricing is here to stay and is not a temporary phenomenon. The guide will help brokers to adapt their businesses to take full advantage of the opportunities, because it gives access to the direct-to-lender products as well as the intermediary ones.”

MortgageStream, who is a software provider, has now announced a launch of a new Call Centre Financial Services System called CallStream. This new software will come with a range of different options, which will suit small medium and large call centres who sell IFA, Life, Mortgage and Protection products to the public. This great new system has options for scripted Fact Finding with mandatory fields; this is to insure FSA & TCF compliant sales.

The CallStream also includes a number of options so that the user can link with the user’s telephone switchboard, this will allow for automatic dialling/answering via the PC, call recording, call Logging as well as caller display. The list of features does not stop there though, there is also an SMS Text messaging facility, this is perfect if the customers need to be updated on the progress of their application. The reply which the customer sends will go directly to the call centre operator who is dealing with the application.

Sales Director at mortgagestream, Paul Holden, has said “In recent years the public has become used to interacting with Financial Services providers over the telephone and we have noticed a number of intermediary firms starting up or enhancing their telephone based businesses; this is especially prevalent since the recent changes in the mortgage market. We have a growing number of mortgagestream users that already operate call centres and they asked us to build specific functionality for their phone based staff.” He also added “CallStream includes a host of features and allows both the Advisers and Administrators to work hands free by connecting a phone headset to their PC via an interface; This leads to far greater efficiencies in the work place, more compliant working practices and an additional benefit is that the use of the headsets reduces the risk of neck and back pain for their sales and processing staff.”
