/> Well we all know that today is the biggest day in the world of phones, this is because Apple has launched the new iPhone 3G. This has got me thinking, people in the U.S. and the UK are facing a credit crunch, yet we still choose to purchase a luxury item, such as the iPhone 3G.

We have had lots of reports that people in the UK have been queuing for up to six hours, in the hope of getting their hands on the latest handset. It seems that the current credit crisis has done nothing to dent sales of this latest gadget.

I would like to know though if people are having trouble when it comes to getting credit for one, we all know that the criteria is much harder now to get credit, surely this could affect sales today.

I know plenty of people who have money issues, yet they still decide to take the time of work, without pay and then spend money which they have not got, on a handset which is not a necessity.

Some iPhone fans will say that you can get the handset for free on some O2 tariffs, but you still have to pay out £45 each month for the next 18 months. How can people justify spending £810, ok you do get your calls and texts in that, but I could never imagine using that many in one month.

So what have you had to sacrifice to get your Apple iPhone 3G?
