RBS pension row forces Sir Fred Goodwin to leave UK
Mar 04, 2009 | Comments 0

It has been reported that Sir Fred Goodwin, the former RBS (LON:RBS) chief executive is planning on leaving the UK and moving abroad for a few months. Goodwin it seems cannot take the pressure of the current protests of his £16.9 million pension fund.
Reports say that his friends have advised the disgraced RBS
bank chief that it would be in his best interest to leave the UK for a while, just so that the pension row subsides. Concerns over safety for his family may also force him to escape the country for a while.
Sir Fred is still considering his final options. UK Financial Investments are looking into legal action over the former Royal Bank of Scotland chief. If it is at all possible that Goodwin’s £703,000 a year pension could be reduced, he will still receive £416,000 a year. Not bad for doing a bad job.
