Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is offering a new service to its customers guiding them with impartial financial advice on generic matters such as debt and budgeting, this comes as part of RBS MoneySense financial capability program.
The service will not be linked to the Royal Bank of Scotland or NatWest own products or services, the program was set up to talk generically about services banks offer customers including savings and insurance, taking the customers situation and offering information that would help them.
RBS will have advisers in 62 branches in Scotland and 1,000 RBS and NatWest locations across the UK, the RBS staff have been trained by the Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS).
RBS have said that if a customer asks specifically about their product then they will be referred to the specialist at RBS or NatWest who will then talk them through the service or product.
