Housing market sees its first sign of improvement since 2006

Finally we have some good news regarding the housing market in England and Wales, the number of people looking to buy a property has surged in November to the highest level since 2008 reports show today.

It’s suggested it’s due to bargain hunters searching through the repossessed homes and forced sale properties.

Although even with the rising number of potential buyers, the sales still continue to slump, between September and November the UK slumped to a new 30-year low.

On average estate agents sold 10.6 houses each in England and Wales this was in a the three months leading up to November 30. That equates to less than one house per estate agent a week according to a reports from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
