Nov 06, 2008 | Comments 11

Barack Obama the US President-elect had his official website launched today www.change.gov for his transition to the white house. The website is used for anyone to express their views and ideas for the future of the country.
If you go to www.change.gov then go to the headline “Open Government” you have the option to “Share you Vision” this is done via email.
Obama has 75 days until he is sworn as the 44th president of the United States. With Obama’s campaign being all about change we ask does Obama have what it takes to change the housing market?
The US has been the most popular place for UK investors to buy property according to data from themovechannel.com, and it was voted the top investment portal in September 2008, it could be for a number of reasons, the strength of the pound to the US dollar and the high rental yield.
Obama’s showed a realistic view to turning the housing market round, showing a clear policy on fraudulent mortgage providers and ways to simplify the mortgage procedure with a universal mortgage credit and with the government playing a much bigger role in the America’s property industry hopes are out there for Obama to stabilize the market. These were all policies Obama showed in his pre-election, now we will see if the policies will bring the American Economy back to its feet.
Do you think that Barack Obama can change the US housing market?
