Credit Crunch hitting divorced women hard


As yet we are not in a full blown recession but we have to ride through this current credit crunch, and things seem especially tough on thousands of woman who are now going through the stages of divorce.

As you know it is the property market that has it tough at the moment and that is where things get tough for divorced women out there, as they have to sell their matrimonial home.

Well you can imagine how hard selling the home is right now, and the hard facts is, some couples who are divorced who are going through the process are forced to continue living with each other until the home is sold.

In some cases the woman used to try and secure a mortgage to buy their partner out, although the property would now be worth less the criteria from lenders is making it harder for them to secure a loan.

The girls over at Divorce Diva has raised a great question and that is “in the case where the husband has filed for divorce – do you think that women will now defend the divorce for financial reasons, as the pay-out would be a lot less in this current financial climate”
